15+years of dedication. 15+years of commitment. 15+years of teaching, learning, serving and making a difference.
I am deeply honoured to have received a Long Service Award in recognition of over 15 years of dedicated and committed service to Teaching and Learning, from the School of Business & Applied Studies Limited (UWI-Roytec), on August 29.
This journey has been filled with lessons, challenges, growth, relationships, opportunities and countless moments that reminded me of the power of education.
I am grateful for the recognition, grateful for the journey and grateful for every person who has been part of it. Here's to the next chapter!

The Story Behind The Award!
Since receiving this Long Service Award, some people have asked me - what do 15+ years in education really represent?
It represents early mornings and long days.
It represents lessons planned and lessons learned.
It represents challenges that became opportunities.
It represents students who became memories.
It represents colleagues who became friends.
It represents continuous growth.
Most importantly, it represents purpose.
My Long Service Award is a beautiful reminder that the work educators do can leave an impact far beyond the moment. And the journey continues.

Experience Matters!
What has 15+ years in education taught me?
15+ years taught me that...Experience Matters.
But experience alone is not enough.
You need someone who continues to learn, adapt, communicate and grow.
My journey in education has strengthened skills that extend far beyond the classroom - skills in planning, communication, coordination, presentation, problem-solving, leadership and connecting with people.
Those experiences now continue to shape the work I do through Majic Touch Events & Communications Services.

As I continue to reflect on my 15+ years Long Service Award for dedicated and committed service to Teaching & Learning, let me share the three things I do.

5 Lessons From 15+ Years in Education:
After more than 15 years in Teaching & Learning, these lessons continue to guide me - not only professionally, but in how I approach every project and every person I work with.
And I carry those lessons with me into Majic Touch Events & Communications Services.
Because excellence is not just about what you do.
It's about how you make people feel, what you help them accomplish and the impact you leave behind.
From Teaching To Entrepreneurship
In closing, some people have asked me: What does teaching have to do with business?
My response: More than you think!
The reality is that teaching and entrepreneurship connect closely through transferrable skills, the "teacherpreneur" movement and how entrepreneurial mindsets are taught.
Moreover, teaching and entrepreneurship share a deep connection because educators, like me, use the exact core skills needed to build and run a successful business.
Teaching taught me to:
Understand people!
Communicate clearly!
Plan effectively!
Think creatively!
Adapt when things don't go according to plan!
Solve problems!
Lead with purpose!
Those skills continue to influence the work I do today through Majic Touch Events & Communications Services.
My journey didn't end with the classroom...it expanded.
